10. februarja 2026 je na OŠ Jela Janežiča v Škofja Loki potekalo strokovno srečanje učiteljev, ki poučujejo otroke s posebnimi potrebami. Na srečanju smo del programa namenili tudi predstavitveni in diseminacijski delavnici Erasmus+ projekta Didactic Bricks. Gre za mednarodni projekt, katerega osrednji cilj je učiteljem ponuditi sodobna, prilagodljiva in takoj uporabna didaktična orodja za poučevanje trajnostnih vsebin.

Projekt Didactic Bricks temelji na ideji didaktičnih »gradnikov« – učnih aktivnosti, metod in virov, ki jih lahko učitelji med seboj kombinirajo, prilagajajo in nadgrajujejo glede na potrebe svojih učencev. Čeprav je projekt primarno zasnovan za delo v večinskih osnovnih šolah, smo se odločili, da ga predstavimo tudi učiteljem otrok s posebnimi potrebami, saj smo prepoznali velik potencial gradiv za prilagojeno in vključujoče poučevanje.
V okviru delavnice smo učiteljem predstavili projektno idejo, teme ter spletno platformo, nato pa so si udeleženci sami ogledali že naložene aktivnosti. Hitro se je pokazalo, da so gradiva jasna, pregledna in zelo prilagodljiva, kar je učiteljem omogočilo, da so že med srečanjem razmišljali, kako bi jih lahko brez večjih prilagoditev uporabili pri delu s svojimi učenci.
Učitelji so izrazili veliko navdušenje nad projektom in vsebinami, saj jim v vsakdanjem delu pogosto primanjkuje časa za pripravo novih gradiv, hkrati pa pri poučevanju otrok s posebnimi potrebami nujno potrebujejo veliko kreativnih, konkretnih in preizkušenih idej. Prav zato so poudarili, da bodo z veseljem posegali po naloženih aktivnostih in jih vključevali v svoje delo.
Delavnica je še enkrat potrdila, kako dragocena so tovrstna odprta in dostopna gradiva za učitelje, ki se pri svojem delu vsak dan srečujejo z raznolikimi potrebami učencev. Čeprav projekt Didactic Bricks ni bil prvotno namenjen tej ciljni skupini, se je njegova predstavitev izkazala za zelo dobro sprejeto, udeleženci pa so bili hvaležni za nove ideje, spodbudo in občutek, da pri iskanju rešitev niso sami.
Takšna srečanja znova dokazujejo, da lahko kakovostni projekti z odprtimi vsebinami pomembno prispevajo k bolj vključujočemu izobraževanju in podprejo učitelje tam, kjer to najbolj potrebujejo – v praksi, z idejami, ki jih je mogoče takoj prenesti v razred.

Didactic Bricks: inspiring support for teachers of students with special educational needs
On 10 February 2026, a professional meeting for teachers working with students with special educational needs took place at OŠ Jela Janežiča in Škofja Loka. As part of the programme, we dedicated a session to a presentation and dissemination workshop of the Erasmus+ project Didactic Bricks. This international project aims to provide teachers with modern, flexible and immediately usable didactic tools for teaching sustainability-related topics. The Didactic Bricks project is based on the concept of didactic “building blocks” – learning activities, methods and resources that teachers can combine, adapt and further develop according to the needs of their students. Although the project was primarily designed for mainstream primary schools, we decided to present it also to teachers of students with special educational needs, having recognised the strong potential of the materials for adapted and inclusive teaching.
During the workshop, teachers were introduced to the project concept, key themes and the online platform, after which they explored the activities already available on the website. It quickly became clear that the materials are clear, well-structured and highly adaptable, enabling teachers to immediately reflect on how they could use them in their own classrooms with minimal adjustments.
Teachers expressed great enthusiasm for the project and its content, as they often lack time to develop new teaching materials, while at the same time their work with students with special educational needs requires a high level of creativity, concreteness and tested ideas. For this reason, they emphasised that they would gladly use the uploaded activities and integrate them into their teaching practice.
The workshop once again confirmed how valuable such open and accessible educational resources are for teachers who face diverse learner needs on a daily basis. Although Didactic Bricks was not originally developed for this specific target group, its presentation proved to be very well received, and participants expressed gratitude for the new ideas, encouragement and the reassuring feeling that they are not alone in searching for solutions.
Such meetings demonstrate that high-quality projects with open resources can make a significant contribution to more inclusive education, supporting teachers where they need it most – in practice, with ideas that can be immediately transferred to the classroom.
